Dr. Pete Claussen relocated to Panama City, Florida in 1978,
immediately following his residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the
world renowned Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
A Pediatric Dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized
training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of
children from infancy through the teenage years. The very young,
pre-teens, and teenagers all need different approaches, guiding
their dental growth and development, and helping them avoid future
dental problems. As a Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Claussen is best
qualified to meet these needs and finds great satisfaction in
providing optimal care to his patients every day.
Dr. Claussen has received numerous awards from organized dentistry including an appointment as a Fellow of the American Society of Dentistry for Children. He has been recognized for outstanding performance by becoming a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. He has lectured extensively on the topics of hospital dentistry, as well as operating room performance.
There are seven (7) highly qualified team members who work with Dr. Claussen in his practice.
Dr. Claussen and his wife of 40 years have 4 sons and 4 grandchildren.
